PRESIDENT MARTELLY WELCOMES THE DECISION OF THE SENATE

Mr. Lucien Jura, Spokesman for the Presidency, expressed, this Wednesday in a press conference, the satisfaction of President Martelly, following the favorable vote (19 votes in favor, 3 against and 1 abstention) granted on Tuesday April 10 in the evening by the Senate to the Prime Minister-designate, Mr. Laurent Lamothe, who is also the Foreign Minister.
To this end, the Head of State sends his warmest congratulations to the honorable Senators, and took the opportunity to ask the Deputies of the 49th Legislature to go in the same direction as their colleagues of the Senate for the good of the country.
President Martelly highly desires that a new Government is established in a short time to cope with the challenges to which the Haitian people are confronted.
