THE MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR CONDEMNS THE ACTIONS OF INDIVIDUALS IN MILITARY FATIGUES

The Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities and National Defense (MICTDN), strongly condemns the presence of individuals in military fatigues, before the Haitian parliament, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
Aware of social and economic problems faced by the ex-military, the authorities reiterated their firm determination to take all measures consistent within the law to meet these needs.
The Minister of the Interior informs everyone that, under no reason, will the government tolerate that on the margins of the law, gunmen continue with impunity to disturb the public peace.
The Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Defence states to the Haitian people that President Martelly has established a Civilian Commission, whose mandate is to analyze how to create an armed force. This Commission is at work to analyze all options, and will soon present its final report.
