CONILLE AND LAMOTHE CONDEMN THE OUTBREAK OF ARMED MEN ON TUESDAY AT THE PARLIAMENT

PORT-AU-PRINCE - Prime Minister resigned, Garry Conille said that he was "deeply saddened by the incident of Tuesday, April 17 at the Legislative Palace." In a communiqué, Mr. Conille condemned what happened. Laurent Lamothe, says "he does not endorse in any way" the actions of former soldiers.
"Mr. Conille condemns in the strongest terms the outbreak of armed men calling themselves" demobilized ", which has troubled the serene functioning of the Chamber of Deputies," he wrote in a note.
The outgoing Prime Minister said that he has passed clear instructions to the Justice Minister, Pierre Michel Brunache, and the Director General of National Police, Mario Andresol.
"In addition, the Prime Minister convened a Cabinet meeting and asked the Minister of Justice to convoke in emergency, the Board of the National Police (CSPN) to take all measures to ensure order and public peace," concludes the note.
On the other hand, the office of Prime Minister designate, Laurent Lamothe, also reacted against the former military's action on the premises of parliament Tuesday.
"The communications office of Mr. Lamothe wishes to reaffirm its belief in the democratic powers and duties of the legislature, and said that he does not endorse such behavior in any way," as written in the note.
The office took the opportunity to invite parliamentarians to avoid confrontation, and play their full role in the ratification process.
