PMD LAMOTHE FILED ON MONDAY, 58 DOCUMENTS WITH DEPUTIES OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE

PORT-AU-PRINCE- Prime Minister-designate Laurent Lamothe, Foreign Affairs Minister resigned, filed 58 documents, Monday April 23rd, with the Lower House special committee studying his record. The commission has promised to submit its report within fifteen days.

Mr. Laurent Lamothe received a vote of confidence on April 10 by the Senate with 19 pros, three cons and one abstention.

Laurent Lamothe, entrepreneur and President Martelly’s strong hand, is in the second stage of his ratification.

The commission to study the PMD case may be reduced by one member, Deputy Sejour Rodriguez, who is suspected in the murder of an officer of the National Police, Walky Calixte.

According to the president of the Lower House, Levaillant Louis Jeune, MP Rodriguez has been under protection since some policemen tried to assault him on April 18.
