Guardian.co.uk photos - DIESEL FRENZY

Men, women and children were swimming to scoop up the liquid treasure.
They sifted out the garbage floating on top of the canal.
It was one massive community feeding frenzy on capturing all the diesel from the fuel truck.
Here is a man walking away with a bucket.
Notice that the liquid has basically all been removed. A crane hauled the now empty fuel truck out of the canal and all the people left satisfied with their liquid treasure. See, the Haitian people can work together. Look at how fast they emptied a container of diesel fuel by the bucket.
