POSITIVE MEETINGS AROUND THE DECENTRALIZATION PROGRAM KPP
(Haiti Libre) -

Mr. Thierry Mayard Paul, Minister of Interior and Local Authorities has had, Wednesday, fruitful exchanges with Robert Lee, representative of French Ministries, and Rev. Canon Ogé Beauvoir of the Episcopal Church of Haiti. This meeting had for its' objective the integration of the religious sector into the KPP program.

These religious leaders have taken the opportunity to share with Mr. Mayard Paul the contents of two development projects of the Anglican community that fall under the Community-based decentralization program "Katye Pa'm Poze". They have also shown great interest in the process of decentralization and of sustainable development advocated by the central government. Mr. Mayard-Paul is willing to accompany them in the materialization of their projects, which can only be a benefit for the Haitian people.

That same day, the Minister also met with Mr. Moïse Charles Pierre, the President of the National Federation of Mayors of Haiti (FENAMH). It was an opportunity for Mr. Mayard Paul, to invite all members of the FENAMH and especially those of the Northwest, to participate actively in the new Community-based decentralization program "Katye Pa'm Poze" launched by the Ministry of the Interior. The operationalization of this program with the collaboration of Mayors of the country will, undoubtedly, facilitate the implementation of a sustainable development plan through decentralization and job creation, which are the main areas of intervention of the Ministry of the Interior.
