ARTICLE - 3 WEEKS - FOR LOWER HOUSE?

RATIFICATION MEETING IN THE LOWER HOUSE NOT BEFORE 3 WEEKS?

Following the favorable vote in the upper house of the Prime Minister-designate, Laurent Lamothe, Levaillant Louis Jeune, President of the Lower House has indicated that "...even if everyone saw the vote, the Senate office must send a letter to the Chamber of Deputies, to say, here is the decision.... what was taken, .... and that we continue the process. [...]

This is the first step of the ratification. We will see what the Chamber of Deputies will decide. When a House has finished making a decision, especially in this case; the other House should continue the process. Therefore, ourselves, we expect to be officially submitted with the Senate letter to start the process.

There is a procedure that exists in the Rules of Procedure in the Chamber of Deputies. Next Monday, we will go into a Conference of Presidents, and Tuesday we'll set up a Commission to study the case of the Prime Minister-designate. Usually we give an average of 2 weeks to such a Commission, to submit their report..."
