photos - road construction - rte. ntl. #1 - part 5

The dump truck is being used by Samaritans Purse. It is good to see organizations helping out with the earthquake relief effort. Samaritans Purse is a quality mission organization that is doing a lot of work. Pray for their efforts here in Haiti and around the world.

This guy wanted to have his picture taken on his motorcycle.

Road construction is taking place on Rte. National #1. It was a good drive out to Archaie. The road is good. We took some photos of the construction work being done on the drive back to Port-au-Prince.

Back hoes were busy tearing away at the hillside.

This area is wasteland. The smoke marks an area where people were making charcoal.

Thanks for the post about Samaritan's Purse. While I was working I supported them. Their literature says they are putting up temporary houses and helping a lot. I hadn't seen anything, so wondered. Now I know they are doing good. So thanks for reporting about them. Janet
