We happened to be at the site when the worker was installing the wooden obstruction. I was wondering how that would stop quickly moving water when it rains.
The other side of the road has become a garbage dump since the bridge has been out.
No shovels were used to fill in the gap. Modern machinery was used instead. It sure makes the process faster when a loader is used!
It didn't take too many days to fill in the gap! Now the water will divert where it should go; through this cement channel.
And it does! The reconstruction of the Delmas 31 bridge is progressing well and will hopefully soon be done. I'll be sure to take a photo when we once again can cross it with Kimosabee!
