ARTICLE - AFRICA ENVOY - ADY JEAN GARDY

ADY JEAN GARDY APPOINTED SPECIAL ENVOY TO THE AFRICAN UNION

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister-designate, Laurent Lamothe, appointed the Ambassador Ady Jean Gardy, Special Envoy of the Republic of Haiti to the African Union, as part of the follow up to urgently carry out Haiti's accession to the African Union, which groups 54 countries, and represents the majority bloc in the UN system.

Ady Jean Gardy will organize several missions between Haiti and the African states, according to a schedule of actions determined by the objectives of his mission, in order to strengthen ties between the Haitian people and the African nations, and the multiplication of exchanges or financial investment within the framework of business diplomacy advocated by Chancellor Lamothe.

Mr. Fritzner Gaspard, was named Chief of Cabinet, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to succeed Ady Jean Gardy.

Alongside his new duties, Ady Jean Gardy will remain in charge of the Office of Communication and interstate Information, with Laurent Lamothe.
