ARTICLE - PRESIDENCY REJECTS ALLEGATIONS

THE PRESIDENCY CATEGORICALLY REJECTS THE ALLEGATIONS OF CORRUPTION
(Haiti Libre) -

The Presidency of the Republic categorically rejects the allegations, according to which President Michel Martelly, would have been involved in cases of corruption involving firms or individuals from the Dominican Republic.

It unreservedly condemns the fanciful accusations brought unjustly against the Head of State as part of the reportage of the Dominican journalist Nuria Piera, Saturday, March 31, 2012. This lynching by the media of the President of the Republic, is part of a larger campaign of an intoxication of the public opinion, aimed at tarnishing the image of President Martelly and undermining his integrity.

The Presidency is convinced that in addition, this attack, conducted against the person of the Head of State, participates in a process tending to obstruct the policy of change and of modernization of the State that the President of the Republic has begun to establish in Haiti.
