LAUNCH OF ONAPAM, CREDIT FOR LOW AND MIDDLE INCOME
(Haiti Libre) -
The President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, has proceeded to the launch of ONAPAM, a new product designed for small savers and also the beginning of the reconstruction work of the National Old Age Insurance (ONA building). Bernard Degraff, the director of the National Old Age Insurance (ONA), several senators and government ministers, were present on the occasion of this launch.
ONAPAM was launched on the occasion of the inauguration of the new building of 350m2 that will be used to host the 200 employees of ONA. ONAPAM is a product designed to provide credit to policyholders and other economic agents who have low and middle income. It is an individual credit that will be assigned exclusively by agents of ONA. The amount of the credit will vary between 5,000 and 25,000 gourds, for reimbursement ranging from 3 to 6 months.
"This credit program was initiated for smaller grants and for those who do not have credit at a bank, with interest rates that no one can compete with," said the President of Haiti.
