MWH GLOBAL LANDS $123M CONTRACTS FROM USAID

MWH Global Inc. .. has won two contracts totalling $122.8 million from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Broomfield company reported Wednesday.

The management, engineering and construction firm’s contracts are for providing engineering services to USAID missions in Haiti and Pakistan.

Details:

• In Pakistan, MWH is a member of a team led by Pakistan-based National Development Consultants Pvt. Ltd. to support USAID’s Pakistan Office of Infrastructure. The $120 million contract includes planning, design, technical support and working with stakeholders to support transportation, vertical structures, water control infrastructure, water and sanitation, and energy and power.

MWH has worked in Pakistan for more than 60 years, developing water and energy resources.

• In Haiti, MWH is conducting a feasibility study about developing port operations along the North Haiti Development Corridor, under a $2.8 million contract. MWH will perform a market demand and project finance structure study and an economic feasibility study, plus a technical study covering environmental assessment, water supply system and other topics.
