photos - various - part 4

We visited the St. Louis camp and a huge difference was visible. There are less tents and lots of garbage everywhere. The toilets gave off a bad smell and weren't clean.

The people remaining in the camp say that the priest who runs the St. Louis Gonzague school gave the refugees the week to remove their things from the grounds of the school. The school wants to repair their facilities and open the grounds to their students.

This young man said that the leaders of the camp have left and some people transferred over to Carredieu, which is in the Delmas 75 area. The man in the black t-shirt has 2 young children.

Garbage is accumulating everywhere on the grounds.

The water bags are empty of water. What a difference a week makes. We are going to visit St. Louis again early next week to see if conditions are changed. Pray for the people remaining in the camp. They need to move but they need help to move to another refuge camp. It appears this similar type of problem is being repeated in other areas. The relief effort is failing at relocating people and problems are starting to occur. No one group is to blame.
