We went with Jim and Kim Dewar over to Gertrude's orphanage in La Plaine to visit Mickey. He had surgery a week ago to repair his clubbed foot. Hopefully this surgery helps him to walk better. Keep him in prayer.
The last time we visited the site of the Delmas 31 bridge we noticed the workers breaking up the new support slab because the underside was eroded by recent rains. It was a difficult job!
They are almost finished removing all the concrete. The power of water is amazing. Now you can see well what running water does.
Another 2 feet depth of ground is eroded by the waters.
No footbridge in site. You have to scramble to get to the other side now. It sure is going to be more than a couple of months before another bridge is in place. Maybe another 6 months!
