May 18th is a national holiday here in Haiti. It is called "Fete Drapeau" (Flag Day) and is a day of celebrating the haitian flag. Youth groups across the city walked the streets in celebration of the flag. This group was heading down the mayor's road to Delmas 33.
They headed up Delmas 33.
Another youth group that we saw was walking up Rue Pan American heading towards Petionville.
These 2 children were holding the flag for the celebrations in the Petionville area.
A lot of curious onlookers watched them.
