ARTICLE - CONILLE = RECOLONIZATION?

GARRY CONILLE A STEP TOWARD RECOLONIZATION
(Haiti Libre) -

After his ratification, Tuesday evening by the Senate with 17 votes for, 3 against and 9 abstentions, Dr. Garry Conille continues to provoke reactions from the political class. According to Senator Jean Hector Anacasis, the constitution has not been respected. He criticized also the lack of interest in Haitian politics on the part of the new Prime Minister "We have nothing against Mr. Conille, but we must respect the Constitution. He did not have his identification card, ... he did not vote,... he has not paid his taxes, ... and is someone who is taking advantage of the moment, to access the position of Prime Minister, ... without thinking of meeting the conditions prescribed by the Constitution."

For the Movement Peasant Papaye (MPP), the ratification of Dr. Conille means that the country is taking the path of recolonization. "Haiti is in a phase of recolonization. Garry Conille will not defend the interests of Haiti" argues Philefrant Saintnaré, leader of the MPP, adding that he [Garry Conille] will defend the interests of former U.S. President Bill Clinton. "When you look at the career of Mr. Conille, we realize that he's very close of Bill Clinton [...] we are making another step towards the strengthening of a disguised guardianship, very similar to a process of recolonization" which was also supported by the Senator of the West.
