photos - various - part 5

Everyday activities are returning to Port-au-Prince. The Petionville street market is a busy place.

Food distributions continue in our Delmas 31 neighborhood. Many sacs of food from the World Food Programme are being handed out. The UN provides security at the distribution site.

The medical team held a medical clinic in the Petionville area at a refuge camp near Pastor Senord's church. Inside this camp is a water filtration system.

A group of churches called "Aksyon Tet Ansanm Legliz Yo" (Churches acting "heads together") established this water station for the people in the camp.

When we went to pick up the medical team later in the afternoon we saw this mobile "medicine man". Some people make their living selling antibiotics and other types of medicine. Instead of seeing a doctor some people will buy a few pills of ampicillin or amoxicillin. Sometimes people run into trouble doing this as they don't take medicine for the time period that is necessary.
