photos - cathedral - part 4

The church pews were smashed by the falling building. 25 members of the choir were killed during the earthquake.

Amongst the twisted rubble was a backhoe cleaning up beside the cathedral.

In the corner of the broken stairwell was the baptismal font.

This is a statue to the heros of the independance of 1804.

ISPAN is the historical society here in Haiti. The spray painted word ISPAN shows that this broken building is a piece of history. I don't know if this building will be rebuilt or kept the same or destroyed. Time will tell.
