ARTICLE - $4M - LEOGANE ROAD

$4 MILLION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A ROAD IN LEOGANE
(Haiti Libre) -

Last Friday, the leaders of the Haitian company of construction and transport (ENCOTRA) signed with the Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications (MTPCP), Jacques Rousseau, a contract of more than 4 million U.S. dollars for the construction of an adoquin road for 3km and the cleaning of a canal between Leogane and the sea. This contract is funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

This work is part of Phase II of a project of $13 million, and will be supervised by the Japanese firm Y.E.C. Yachiyo Engineering Co; and the project supervisor delegate, is the Japan International Cooperation System (JICS). These job creating works will begin in February.
