People talk about the living conditions in the refuge camps but the people in Ti-Ayiti have been living in horrible conditions all their life.
This is the Cite Soleil beach :) The guys dreams are to clean it up to be a place that even tourists would visit!
Somce of the tin shack homes have fences and are trying to grow some greenery around them.
They have laid down a lot of gravel to raise up the area a bit, making it possible for tap-taps to manouever.
It didn't take long for the children to come running to us. "Diferans" in bold large white letters is painted on the tin roof of the hospital. This is to let everyone know in airplanes that are approaching the airport over Cite Soleil that there are some people who are making a difference in the lives of the people of Ti-Ayiti.
