Jackenson Jean-Louis is in trouble again. Wednesday he tripped over a bench and it landed on his leg. When I came back to the house he told me that his ankle was sore. It didn't look swollen. I thought it was probably a bruise. The next day he didn't put walk much. We gave him pain medicine and he rested his leg. Yesterday afternoon it was still sore to touch his ankle. This morning his ankle was sore and we brought him over to the Medecins Sans Frontieres Trauma Hospital in Tabarre. After an xray the doctor put on a cast. Yes, he has a small fracture. The doctor has immobilized his foot and ankle in a cast and he has a follow-up appointment in a couple of weeks. Now the challenge is to keep him off his foot. He doesn't want to use crutches :) Pray that his ankle heals quickly and that he doesn't have any complications. We rejoice that the care he got over at Medecins Sans Frontieres was free. They have a great hospital that helps out a lot of people :) Jackenson is such a fragile kid who wants to be a normal kid. That is a challenge for him and also for us looking out for him :)
