The Haitian government posted on facebook that Haiti's fuel prices are better than the Dominican Republic. Gas stations today are quiet as almost everything is shut down due to the gas strike protests. One of the signs that the government has posted on the street is called "Mwen Nan Konplo-a Kont Sa Ki Anpeche Peyim Mache", which translated means "I am in the group that is against those who don't want the country to function". It looks like today the country is still functioning but everyone is relying on their feet to get around, with a few vehicles and motorcycles on the streets. Flights are still arriving and leaving Haiti. We photographed this plane at the airport as it was taxing on the runway. People are determined that the fuel prices need to come down. They are also wanting food prices to come down as well.
