ARTICLE - HIMMLER REBU - UN WITHDRAWAL

STATEMENTS OF HIMMLER REBU ON THE WITHDRAWAL OF MINUSTAH
(Haiti Libre) -

Yesterday, Monday, the leader of the Grand Rally for the Evolution of Haiti (GREH), the former colonel Himmler Rébu, spoke about the withdrawal of the UN Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (Minsutah). According to him, this departure is possible, but conditioned by two factors; one political, the other technical.

"...the departure is possible because it is conditioned by two factors, first, a factor of political order and then a factor of technical nature." The political factor explains Himmler Rébu, "is conditioned mainly by a series of political decisions, which unfortunately are not always solely internal. They sometimes engage the multilateral aspect of the question, so this is this problem that must be solved; the problem of political decision-making internally; which will have to take into account the international position and interests.

For the factor of a technical nature, it is a copy and paste; because the doctrine of security is the same for all countries; except that it is necessary to adapt to the habits and customs, morals and culture of the peoples. The technical application, is something extremely simple. This is what you will use as a means of reaching and establishing a corps to compensate the departure of Minustah; because you can not let Minustah leave and create a vacuum. You'll have exactly the same problems that were responsible for the arrival of the Minustah in Haiti.

Now what is necessary to do, is to ask why Minustah is here? Why has it entered Haiti, under what conditions, what are the agreements that were signed by the Haitian government? You can not ask them to leave and then ask them to return in four months. This is no joke [...] do we meet today, the political conditions for a departure of the Minustah? This is the only real question to be answered..."
