photos - various - part 5

Diana is a 15-month-old girl who was injured during the earthquake. Her parents were both killed in their fallen house and the aunt brought her to Bernard Mevs Hospital. She had a broken femur and was in traction for a while. Her aunt abandoned her there and now Sister Genevieve is trying to find a home for her. Pray for all the newly created orphans caused by the earthquake.

These 4 children came to Coram Deo this week asking for help. The first girl on the left is 14 years old. I saw her standing near our gate and walked past her when going out to buy a coke. When I was walking back she came up to me and asked if I was the person who helped people. She then told me that she had been living on the streets since the earthquake and that both of her parents had been killed. Then the girl in the blue top (second from the right) came up to me with her brother and sister and handed me a note. She said that her parents were killed in the earthquake and that her brother and sister and herself had been living on the street. We have started making contact with Unicef to get them registered as displaced children. Pray for these children as they struggle to live without parents.

Carmilo's mother came over for the first time in a few months and visited her son. He is now at His Home for Children, which is run by Hal and Chris Nungester.

They are looking for medical care for him in the United States.

This cleft lip/palette/colostomy baby was the child abandoned a few months ago at General Hospital. He is thriving and growing at His Home For Children!
