Security was in place to handle situations where people get out of line.
Emergency reponse workers wore orange shirts. These workers would assist those who were injured. One of the orange shirt workers is giving another one a helpful push to start his motorcycle.
Businesses who are already located in the Carnival staging area look forward to extra business. This woman chats with a man outside of her tin shack/shop.
We headed up the Delmas 31 hill and turned onto the grounds of Morningstar Academy. On their large grounds in the Church of the Rock. Their building on Delmas was red marked after the earthquake and now they are using a circus tent church. A lot more people are heading for the church services in our neighborhood than the Carnival activities.... a good thing to see. There was a steady flow of people heading down the hill to the circus tent church.
The tent is huge and large crowds of people can be accommodated.
