photos - visits - part 1

While visiting the marina area near Ti Tanyan we walked a bit along the coast and met this fisherman. He came out to talk to us and was proud to explain to us how he goes about his profession. Phil is pictured next to him.
The t-shirt on this baby boy reads "I love my Congolese dad". This is Frandy's son, who is not from the Congo but Haitian :).
The baby's mother died after childbirth and now the grandmother is responsible for raising him. We help out the family with baby formula from the stock that Tanya brought down with her.
We made a visit up the mountain. It was a beautiful day. The poinsetta's were in bloom. This poinsetta has a mountain slope in the background.

Bougainvillea grows easily everywhere in Haiti. It is a very hearty plant and flowers throughout the year.
