GAILLOT DORSINVIL BEFORE THE JUSTICE ON FEBRUARY 1ST, FILES A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE PNH

Mr. Jean Renel Sénatus, the Commissioner of the Government of the prosecution of Port-au-Prince has informed that several complaints had been formulated against the former President of the Provisional Electoral Council, Gaillot Dorsinvil; "we, as Government Commissioner, as the prosecuting authorities,... have seen that in the complaints there is indicated: bribery, corruption and collusion of public officials, conspiracy and crime against the Constitution [...] I have already seized the cabinet of instruction since January 13 and the cabinet of instruction with the files [...] Mr. Gaillot Dorsinvil will appear before the judge of instruction, Mr. Altidor on February 1st, 2012 [...]"
In addition, the Government Commissioner, stated that Gaillot Dorsinvil had also filed two complaints at the prosecution office against the National Police of Haiti (PNH). In a complaint, Gaillot accused the police of detaining him at home, and having seized his passport. He asks for the return of his passport, and the departure of the police outside his home. In another complaint, Gaillot accuses the PNH of having entered into his home, to rob from him the juice in his fridge...
On these complaints, the Government Commissioner declared that "I must examine if the rights of Gaillot Dorsinvil have been respected,... I will look to see if they [the PNH officers] have respected his freedom, .... in the same way, I'll see if I have the opportunity to continue..."
