photos - deadly accident - part 2

There was a terrible accident last night on main Delmas. A dump truck lost it's brakes coming down main Delmas and careered out of control down the road. The driver yelled at people to get out of the way but everything happened so fast and people couldn't. Multiple vehicles were hit by the out of control truck.
Street vendors were rolled over and motorcycles too. There were multiple fatalities and multiple injuries. We have read reports of 29 or more fatalities and 67 injuries. People were out on the street shocked at the damage that one out of control dump truck can do.
In Haiti, vans, called "camionettes" are used as taxis and the drivers pack the people inside. I won't show what was inside this van but there were body parts inside. It was terrible.
Throughout the evening and the morning people came to the site shocked at what had transpired on main Delmas.
This spot is where the truck left the road and started bowling over street vendors. So many people killed and injured due to an out of control truck.
