ARTICLE - MOROCCO - BILATERAL DISCUSSIONS

NEW BILATERAL DISCUSSIONS WITH MOROCCO

Laurent Lamothe, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has indicated that on the margins of the inauguration of President Otta Molina in Guatemala, he had initiated new bilateral discussions with Saad-Eddine El Othmani, the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco.

The two ministers shared the philosophy of Business Diplomacy, agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries; mainly in the field of scholarship in all sectors, .... especially in civil engineering, academic exchanges and economic partnership through investment holders of capital.

Minister Laurent Lamothe stressed the urgent need for an increased cooperation, continuous and permanent with Morocco, who since January 2010 offered to Haiti a significant humanitarian support. He recalled the commitments made to the Haitian Chancellery, by Dr. Brahim Moussa Hussein, Ambassador of Morocco in Haiti, around the support of Morocco, with the training of human resources, a priority for the current Haitian government. Chancellor Lamothe emphasized the importance of current bilateral relations and his willingness to deepen them as part of business diplomacy.

Saad Eddine El-Othman stressed that Morocco had enjoyed the international support received of Haiti during the difficult times, including, to the United Nations for the preservation of its territorial integrity.
