PRIME MINISTER GARRY CONILLE MET WITH A DELEGATION OF THE OAS

Prime Minister Garry Conille has met this morning, Thursday, January 19, 2012, a delegation led by Ambassador Albert Ramdin, Assistant Secretary General of the OAS.

Mr. Ramdin made ​​the presentation of the new Representative of the General Secretariat of the OAS in Haiti, François Bolduc, appointed by the Secretary General of the Organization, José Miguel Insulza, earlier this week. The delegation took the opportunity to reiterate to the Prime Minister its support for the reconstruction of Haiti and discussed with him the various areas of cooperation with the Organization. "Our commitment is high and alive, assured Ambassador Ramdin. In addition, we are strengthening our team here in Port-au-Prince, to ensure that we can continue to serve the Government of Haiti."

"My main concern is that the solutions provided by our international partners be sustainable, said Prime Minister Conille. They should also help us to transfer the functions among Haitians to build the capacity of the State."
