photos - visits - part 2

These natural purple flower are nice and I took this picture. I don't know my flower names so I call this plant a "Haitian Violet"
The farmers in the Fermathe area have been taught terrace farming. The terracing prevents erosion.
If only the people would stop chopping down the trees.
We went a little further up the mountain to Fort Jacques. I love going there. There is an actual pine forest. This area is one of the 2%.
The building in the background was the armory for the Haitian military at the fort. During the earthquake the fort suffered some damage. Now the fallen cannons have been stored by the armory.
