DEPUTY ARNEL BELIZAIRE DROPPED BY POLITICAL PARTY VEYE-YO
(Defend Haiti) -

PORT-AU-PRINCE - Veye-Yo, the political party of Deputy Arnel Bélizaire (Delmas & Tabarre/Independent) has dropped the deputy for being involved in a number of scandals.

According to Radio Kiskeya , the political party has cited numerous recent offenses by the deputy that it considers outside its policy of personal behavior.

Party leaders have also said that the deputy has not maintained contact with them in sometime, adding that the only time they have heard from him was through controversial declarations made in the press.

Deputy Arnel Bélizaire became a household name following his arbitrary arrest on October 27, 2011. The arrest transpired into the resignation of the Minister of Justice, Josue Pierre-Louis and Government Commissioner Félix Léger.

Following the incident, Deputy Bélizaire has been heard on the radio, television and print press threatening to reveal compromising information about members of parliament.

Bélizaire was urged by Senator Simon Desras (Centre/Lavni) to control the words coming out of his mouth or he may lose solidarity in the parliament. But as recently as late December, Deputy Bélizaire denounced a house commission that was set up to further investigate the circumstances of his arrest.
