photos - tanya's visit - part 3

Tanya is holding Jansika. Jansika and her mother continue to stay here while she gets physiotherapy at Bernard Mevs/Project Medishare. She is a happy and healthy baby!

Nairobi is Jansika's older sister. After the earthquake she moved out to the countryside with her mother. When her mother saw that Jansika's head was enlarging Nairobi stayed in the countryside with family while the mother stayed in a refuge camp in Port-au-Prince. Life in the countryside is sometimes more difficult and Nairobi came to stay with us and her mother a couple of weeks ago. Her mother told me that she noticed that she had lost weight, but she is now getting nutritious food and vitamins and should now be healthier! She joined our school program here.

Tanya, Holly and Morgan tackled organizing the living room/pharmacy. We continue to be blessed with a lot of medicine and medical supplies and they helped to organize them.

Every day we get people coming to the gate asking for medicine for various medical problems. It's great that we can sometimes help them!

The next round of hydrocephalus evaluations will be held at Healing Hands on February 9th. Kenson is an 8-month-old baby who lives with his mother in the Canaan refuge camp on Rte. Nationale #1. He is a happy and animated baby. We were able to provide the mother with a stroller and showed her how to support his head with a rolled towel. Pray he can be helped with a surgery.
