photos - marlene's team - part 18

Liz is holding this young a healthy baby girl. The proud papa looks on.

This father came up to us with his baby.

It was good to be able to provide some supplies to the mothers to help them in raising their babies.

When you see their living conditions in the camps and how the mothers do their best to keep their babies well-cared for it is a testament to the strength of the Haitian women in enduring. What we need to do as foreigners here in Haiti is to help the Haitian government and the people in getting these young families out of the camps.

The baby bags given to the families were appreciated by the people. They enjoy it when people visit them and especially help them. A team can do much in a short period of time here in Haiti. There is never a dull moment and life is never boring here in Haiti! It is a challenge for survival for the Haitian people. A challenge in many different ways.
