photos - marlene's team - part 11

We passed the soldiers tents and drove out to the gates of the port. The supervisor of the APN wasn't there and we weren't allowed access to the gates but we were told to come during the week and we would be allowed inside. We were pretty busy and time ran out but maybe the next time the team visits we will be able to.

We went to visit where Reginald's mother lives. She lives in the Silo area of Delmas 33. It is a hilly area that has seen steady building over the years. We left Kimosabee at the bottom of the hill and walked back up. I always enjoy creating challenges for visitors!

Reginald is proud standing next to his mother. She sleeps outside under this tarp as her house is still unrepaired after the earthquake.

Reginald's brother Samuel Masseus is part of Adoration Christian School. Hopefully between the 2 organizations we can partner up to help repair Reginald's mother's home.

We climbed onto the roof of another building to get a view of the city. Reginald and his mother are laughing because I just knocked protruding rebar on top of Liz's head by accident as I used it as a handhold to climb to the lookout area. Liz was good about it though. No concussion!
