photos - marlene's team - part 7

From our view from the road this is the closest we could get to the bay. We wanted to be standing where this soldier was.

A UN Brazilian base is located in the location we wanted to go so we sent Liz out on a mission to see if she could get us inside the base. She speaks fluent Portuguese and she went over to where the "lookout" hut was and climbed up the wall so that she could communicate with the soldier...

... and she was successful! This was her signal for us to bring the truck towards the gates.

A young brazilian escorted us to the bay. We were amazed that Liz was able to get us in! Just goes to show you never know unless you ask!

Here is everyone admiring the bay. There was a slight breeze blowing and it was very relaxing taking in the sights.
