photos - various - part 6

The next door neighbors on both sides of this broken home seem to have accepted the fact that nothing is being done. One of the neighbors pointed to the dog on the roof of the house and told me that it had fed on parts of the body. This section is a nice part of the neighborhood with large homes and the people just accept this situation.

The house on our street corner remains untouched. 2 people were killed in the collapse. The rubble hasn't been removed yet the outside walls have been reconstructed. It is strange. It looks like it will be a long time until broken homes are removed.

The rubble of the national school has been completely cleared out. 2 more bodies were found in the final clean-up. An italian civil organization has set up tents and are using them as places where children in the neighborhood can play and do activities. It is good to see this. Different age groups attend at different times.

Pray for this italian organization's efforts.

Jislaine Neanty is one of the students here at Coram Deo. She is deaf. Her family lives across from the Italian tents.
