THE MINISTER OF INTERIOR IN A POPULAR NEIGHBORHOOD

After his meeting Monday with representatives of about 70 bases in Bel-Air, Mr. Thierry Mayard Paul, the Minister of Interior, of Territorial Collectivities met on Tuesday, members of the Coordination of Citizens of Solino for the Development (COCISOD). The difficulties faced by the people of Solino, a popular neighborhood in the metropolitan area, close to Delmas 18 and 24, were at the heart of the exchanges.
Members of COCISOD have presented to the Minister, a set of projects that they want to achieve in the medium term including: sanitation and electrification of the area, the construction of an educational complex, a library and a community health center.
The Minister of Interior was particularly concerned about problems related to education, unemployment, health and crime among the youth, and is committed to quickly contact the sector responsible at the government level, in order to provided rapid responses, to the needs of the inhabitants of Solino.
