WORLD TOILET DAY

** The serious information below is taken from the treehugger website** The photo was found by me on a web search! **

This is not a joke! Every November 19th is World Toilet Day! The organizers of this day ask that people remember this day by squatting for one minute at noon.

This special day was designed around a serious theme. This day is designed to "celebrate the importance and raise awareness for the 2.6 billion people (nearly half the world's population) who don't have access to toilets and proper sanitation.

The water and sanitation crisis has claimed more lives than all the wars of the 20th century combined.

1 out of 5 children die of diarrheal disease

More than 80% of sewage in developing countries is discharged untreated into lakes, rivers and coastal areas.

Pray that santiation improves throughout the world. Today we see how improper sanitation causes suffering here in Haiti in the form of Cholera.
