photos - hydrocephalus surgeries - part 1

Something special happened at the end of October too! A neurosurgery team from St. Louis came to the Bernard Mevs/Project Medishare Hospital to perform hydrocephalus surgeries. We brought a couple of children who had already had surgeries for post-op checks.

Guerdson Delile and his parents came all the way from the Jeremie area. It is a 12-hour bus ride to Port-au-Prince over bumpy roads.

Guerdeson's father wanted his picture taken with his cell phone.

Calwens Sanon and his mother came from the Marmelade area. He was there for a post-op check as well.

Vanessa Jules is an active little girl. She can sit by herself and her mother is working on getting her to stand. She talks well for her age. I think that one day she will be able to walk. Pray that Vanessa continues to make good progress. The family lives near the Dominican Republic border in the Fond Verrette area.
