The National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation (DINEPA) on Wednesday presented the broad outlines of a national strategic plan to fight against cholera in Haiti. This plan will be implemented over 14 months and includes 3 phases: emergency, stabilization and strengthening of the drinking water sector in Haiti.

The engineer GĂ©rald Jean-Baptiste, director general of DINEPA, also informed the construction of a discharge site for excreta in Croix-des-Bouquets and the supply of 30 trucks to the Ministry of Health for the management of human waste.

In addition, the IDB will help to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) and DINEPA. This help to the DINEPA, is added to that of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECI).
