We packed up and headed for home before the rains were too heavy. It ended up that Hurricane Tomas was not a hurricane for Port-au-Prince and we were able to hold an extra clinic while Hurricane Tomas passed near the coast of Haiti.
It is election campaigning time here in Haiti. Elections are scheduled to be held on November 28th. A joyous group of supporters for a presidential candidate - Henry Ceant - passed in front of our house. The group was having a good time heading down our street.
Even young supporters too young to vote were in the "ra-ra" group. These 2 boys are holding cards with Henry Ceant's photo.
The crowd was about 300 people.
Bertrand is holding Henry Ceant's picture too. Bertrand's brother was part of the "ra-ra" group and handed him a card. Pray for peaceful elections here in Haiti.
