Another project that was going on was rebuilding the church across the street from Coram Deo. I have known Pastor Octave and his family for years and the people who attend his church are poor. When the earthquake hit the church walls collapsed. But times are changing now and people are starting to rebuild. The church prepared a new foundation before the team arrived.
The school and church had been using the broken church as well as they could.
Community groups use the church for meetings. This meeting was going on while we visited.
Jeff and the guys checked out the foundation.
Eglise du Dieu Vivant (translated into english as Church of the Living God) was given a red demolish mark by the government inspectors but it isn't going to happen. The church is now going to be rebuilt better!
