It didn't take long before the first five rows of block were laid. The next problem between the haitian boss was he didn't want to put in an extra horizontal steel support. In order to build the brace cages straight pieces of rebar are bent to form squares. It is pretty neat how the boss makes these squares. He bends the bar around some nails to the form desired.
The other boss then ties them into the cage structure.
I tried to get Pastor Octave and his wife to smile for the photo but they didn't. Picture taking is a serious thing!
The middle support layer was done and the cement block layers got back to work.
