photos - usns comfort - part 7

The USNS Comfort has helicopters on it to help ferry supplies and people to shore.
The Thor Terminal area is also where there is an electricity generating plant. Port-au-Prince could sure use a few more of these plants. It may be a dream right now but maybe one day Haiti will have electricity 24 hours a day! The grafitti written on the wall says "Bienvenue Jn. Claude Duvalier". The wall is a new wall. The support columns are done differently than regular support columns. This feature makes the wall sturdier during an earthquake.
This large oil tanker was offleading fuel at the Thor terminals.
I zoomed in on a couple of fisherman who had finished laying out their nets near shore. When I downloaded the photos to the computer I noticed that this fishing boat had the expression "Dieu Devant" written on it; french for the name of our mission Coram Deo. What a coincidence!
Tankers line up to fill up on fuel to bring to the various pumps throughout the city.
