photos - usns comfort - part 17

We bought some Haitian banana chips for lunch and we shared with some of the children around us.
Yvens wasn't able to receive a surgery for his lazy eye.
This woman was accompanying this young man at the gate. He was partially blind. It is amazing how lives can change for people when they have cataracts removed. Cataracts is a common occurrence here in Haiti.
The team worked hard at helping as many people as they could.
This man came outside with the white and blue form which means that he was selected as a candidate for surgery. It is good to see the Comfort back in port. We were worried that it wouldn't return to the bay of Port-au-Prince, but it's back and clinics start up again tomorrow.
