photos - various - part 4

I went with Jeff to visit a refuge camp near us and one of the women in the camp told us about a baby who had been born that week. A haitian "nurse" had binded the feet with plastic to help to straighten it and the circulation to the feet had been cut off. We told the mother to remove the plastic splint. This baby will be starting casting of his feet this week. We told the mother not to be discouraged and that the baby's feet will eventually become straight with treatment. This baby will not be abandoned by his mother like Grace Hope was.

Children in Haiti struggle with malnutrition sometimes due to the poverty of the families. We recently received another donation from Love a Child of Feed My Starving Children rice meals.

With this assistance we can help some mothers in their struggle to find food for their families.

Our school program is going well and the teachers here are doing their best to educate the children in their classes.

Our school has a "country theme" for the school uniform this year. Every year, it seems we receive a donation of several shirts of the same type and color. You can see the "country music " white t-shirts that several of the children are proudly wearing as their uniform!
