The spotlight was on Haiti again this past Sunday. The 2nd round of the presidential elections were held and the second round did not have as many problems as the first round did.
The OEA (OAS) oversaw the elections. These elections are crucial. Haiti needs a new leader in place to lead the country forward in its' reconstruction efforts.
There seemed to be more observers at the voting centers. All the voting centers we visited had at least one observer watching the voting process.
This observer is holding a discussion with a journalist. Everyone is curious for info of how the elections were going.
We saw a Canadian policeman at one voting site in the Petionville area keeping an eye out for problems.
