Jn. Anderson Jeudi is one of the deaf students here at Coram Deo. He was head supervisor of the project.
The backboard is the right shape and we doubled it with 2 sheets of plywood for reinforcement. Next important step was installation of the bolts. The team watched anxiously as the bolts were put in place to see if the 2 sheets were equal sized.
They matched and now Amos volunteered for the task of applying a couple coats of paint to the backboard.
Last step was anchoring the net in place and it is now ready to hang on the pole!
Ysmaille and Johnny stood on Kimosabee to put the basketball board on the pole. Ysmaille is a good multi-tasker! He can talk on the phone and install a basketball backboard at the same time!
